8:25 was the trick that changed my game. 6'6" 205, flexible enough for rubber guard...Even as a white belt I could stall out higher belts and at least maintain guard without getting smashed once I figured out their standard counters. We had a seminar once and several people asked for lasso counters specifically for my game. 😂 Then they used them and my game was put on ice 😢 Then Clark comes along with this and, game back on! Nothing is more satisfying than putting out bait and getting the bite.

Love spider and lasso - but my fingers hate that

I'm concerned with playing spider and lasso that the other white belts won't want to roll with me. They all say their arms are "dead" after as a sorta compliment but they might get tired of it. We have a lot of White belts in my gym but there seems to be a kinda wrestler vibe, everyone likes to take down and smash. I pull them into guard hard on their hip and I just torment them with sleeve grips lol
