Guy is right on the car taxes. Bought a car in GA while I was visiting family and then had to pay another separate tax on it when I got home to Pennsylvania. Always a good idea to check on that because you will wind up paying taxes twice in some circumstances. I got the double whammy because when I later moved to GA from Pennsylvania, I had to pay taxes again on my old car based on the value they "made up" for it just to register it in GA, was a real nasty surprise.

City of Philadelphia workers can work extra hours Monday thru Thursday and take off early on Friday but the L & department is MIA on Friday afternoon especially during the summer. Several times called them at 1 PM on a Friday and after phone rang 25 times walked away then a hour later phone was still ringing. Hung up and when I called back # was always busy. Best high paying part time job that pays 40 hours for only working a few hours a day. I purchase tires that are good for 50,000 miles and stopped wasting my time & $ for tire rotation. Several times it took over three hours just for tire rotation and $60. Purchased a 18 volt air pump that I use to check tires once a month. Local gas station charge $1 for only 3 minutes so the air pump paid for its self. Wawa's have free air pump but usually two to four vehicles in line.

Am surprised that Wells Fargo is still in business. I had to have a checking account there for years because it was required in connection with a mortgage loan. Once, and it was probably 10 years ago or more, I tried to deposit some cash and they just flat out told me I couldn't deposit cash. Also had other problems with them, including a generally rude attitude. I just recently paid off this mortgage so good riddance WF. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out.

15:37 Office work is becoming less like assembly-line work, and that's a good thing. Historically, "clerical work" meant work like that of a cleric (priest or clergyman) -- someone who gets to manage his own time as long as he shows up for scheduled events, which are far from full-time. Clergy, professors, and other highly literate people have worked this way since the Middle Ages. Office work should have been like that, since it likewise involves a lot of reading, writing, and thinking. But instead, it came to be managed like assembly-line work or other menial work that required tight supervision, with time clocks and such. Now it's breaking out of that mold, thank goodness!

I like to wonder and explore when traveling. No schedule. Take my time enjoying people,culture,foods,scenery,etc.. One of the reasons I bought a condo in a secure gated community. Just lock up and go being away weeks to months at a time without worry.

While on talking about working too many hours too many companies expect people in management to work over 50 hours a week then take work home with them. When our director asked me & the other best worker why we did not put in for a management job. Told him two reasons: Would be stupid to take a pay cut being that I average 10 hours a week overtime and with responsibility comes money. Told him it was a slap in my face to only offer a $40 a week more. Even if they cut all of my overtime out forever I turned away more side work then I could handle.

If you buy your tires at Big O rotation and flat repairs are free. Same at Costco.

I am retired but would like to find a part time job. Maybe a remote job or something that is flexible. I have been turned down over 20 times. Last person said, oh they were looking for someone with more recent experience. Age discrimination is real.

I also heard about the no cash deposit at the bank mentioned . I was watching a financial type video and the host told a story about cash deposits at this bank ( or should I say no cash deposits ) . He was in line at the post office and the gentleman in front of him was getting a money order and the clerk asked do you want a receipt and he said no I’m just going across the street to deposit the money order in the bank . So the customer had to pay for the money order and he had an added inconvenience. The host of the video said I told him to get his $ out of this bank . My question is if a customer of this bank has a job in which they receive cash tips on a daily basis are they allowed to deposit their earnings? The whole situation sounds crazy to me .

23:49 Will a Canadian bank even allow a non-resident of Canada to have an account? I was not able to do this in the UK when I was doing a lot of consulting business there and receiving income in pounds though residing in the USA.

💯 Yes, but don't pay for it when several companies offer free tire rotation.

Thanks for listening with your 10-year-old daughter! Most of the Clark Stinks are really nice in their delivery, and we love the joking analogies of really bad smells. It could also be a teachable moment of learning how to take constructive criticism and how to respect different opinions. 💚

Clark, you could do a whole lot better with a new assistant! This woman stumbles over the words she reads in every single video! She’s also just not very professional and comes across as having zero personality.
