It’s rare the character that leaves such an impression with the audience like Lexa did. I’m still salty on how the writers decided to direct her story. Forever heartbroken over it.

well, they would have had a very difficult time making Lexa leave the show without killing her. Her just disappearing out of nowhere would make no sense and raise many questions. And although I love Alycia, I doubt she has the ability to be in 2 places at the same time so, sadly, Lexa's death makes (more) sense.

And even if she does end up with Bellamy, she will never love him as much as she loved Lexa, the actress Eliza even said it, Lexa was the one for her. I personally dont want Clarke and Bellamy to get together and it's not just because i love Clexa, I just always saw them more as a platonic relationship, but the past season they have been really blpusjng it. I just want Clarke happy, and when she dies to meet Lexa again and they can live their maybe someday.
