@@corneliaolivia1806 I just think Clarke deserved better than Lexa sometimes. Clarke went insane cuz Lexa betrayed her. Then, Lexa pays someone to come find her cuz she says she wants to protect her. Lexa could have protected her at Mount Whether but instead chose to betray her. Just like when they killed Costia yet she still let them in her alience. If u love someone u protect them u don't leave them, betray them and later pretend ur helping them.

Diana Jackson Lexa was a sensitive and caring character but with a weight of an almost impossible and very difficult duty on her shoulders. She was the leader of the 12 clans, basically the leader of everyone on earth. The flame and spirit of the Commander is something that has been pasted on through generations among the Grounders, created by Becca to make the carrier of the flame smart enough and strong enough to lead everyone through everything. Everyone is expecting the Commander to protect them, to care for them and to always put them first and it’s the Commander’s duty to do so and always has been and Lexa knows this. This is something among the Grounder culture that I believe not many people understand, neither did the Skaikru. If Lexa would’ve turned away the offer, to save Clarke and the rest of the Skaikru, she was putting her own people at risk. She would’ve risked the life of everyone of her own people, everyone that she is sworn to protect for some people that just recently came down to their ground, started killing their people and isn’t even part of the coalition. Lexa as just herself didn’t want to take the offer and probably wished more than anything that she could’ve done it differently but she knew as the Commander that there wasn’t any way and she knew what she had to do. And she couldn’t be selfish and risk the life of all of her people just to save the girl she fell in love with, she most definitely wanted to but she couldn’t. But this was a choice that she regretted for the rest of her life and she spent all time in S3 to try to make up for it. Even offering skaikru a spot in the coalition so she never would have to choose between Clarke and her people again because then Clarke would be her people. So yeah I think it’s easy to say that Lexa did Clarke wrong and blame her for everything but I think it’s more to the story that’s not as easy to understand and not everyone want to understand it either
