I just sold my farm a couple of months ago, I’d had enough of the price hikes on all inputs and receiving no more money for produce. I’d also had enough of the government sticking its nose in where it doesn’t need to. So that’s another productive farm gone. People won’t support the farmers here in australia, they don’t care. Perhaps when they start to go hungry they will give the farmer a second thought.

Just watching episode 2 of series 3. If i didn't know any better I'd say the local council actively want to put Jeremy Clarkson out of business permanently. The council don't give a monkey's fart about farming successfully, they don't care that they too will be affected by food shortages when their shortsighted actions drive farmers off the land. They are petty, mean and spiteful. I hope as the series goes on you can highlight this.

Clarkson is in a position to have another season. He is highlighting that others won't. Time for food to double in price. It is way too cheap.
@woundedcrow46065 ай бұрын
@@BobJones20001 but the UK is a non-agrarian society and economy. Same in the US. It would be impossible to convince the masses to allow food prices to rise just to protect private farmers’ profits. Farmers need to cut out middle-men and invest in their own means of producing food products with their own grain and resources. The problem with that though is that they’re going broke fast…except for Clarkson. The clout is real.

@woundedcrow46064 ай бұрын
@@danzansandeev6033 there are vital agricultural commodities that get no subsidies in the US. No state subsidies for oranges in Florida even though orange juice is extremely expensive currently. Yet, if you grow corn and soybeans, you can get rich just by finding loopholes. You don’t even need to be a farmer to get farm subsidies. Genuinely broken systems.

Personally I think JC needs to consider and understand regenerative AG, this chemical fertilisation doesn't help his cause. spreading muck without hoofed animals stomping it into the ground doesn't help. JC has the area to divide his paddocks to rotate his animal to feed, and fertilised his land, and support regenerative AG he doesn't and shouldn't rely chemical fertilisers. It's about management

Sadly as a true farmer, Jeremy regardless weather or any other problem is what faces you and you must fight through it. You don't need to do it. You'll always have a parachute to escape. Sounds like a no fear and no real farmer has a parachute.

Here we go I’m gonna be crucified! But I’m gonna say it how I see it. I live in the country, surrounded by farms etc. in my experience farmers are some of the most arrogant, miserable bastards I’ve ever met. They plead poverty and yet without exaggeration they all have brand new Ford Rangers (or whatever they are) Good production should be nationalised and should not be something for profiteering. That includes you supermarkets.
