From Wikipedia:
Clarksville is the county seat of Montgomery County, Tennessee, United States. It is the fifth-largest city in the state behind Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. The city had a population of 166,722 as of the 2020 United States census.
It is the principal central city of the Clarksville, TN-KY metropolitan statistical area, which consists of Montgomery and Stewart counties in Tennessee, and Christian and Trigg counties in Kentucky. The city was founded in 1785 and incorporated in 1807, and named for General George Rogers Clark, frontier fighter and Revolutionary War hero, and brother of William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Clarksville is the home of Austin Peay State University; The Leaf-Chronicle, the oldest newspaper in Tennessee; and neighbor to the Fort Campbell, United States Army post. Site of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell is located about 10 miles (16 km) from downtown Clarksville, and spans the Tennessee-Kentucky state line.

At 9:32 if you look carefully to the right you can see a statue of Frank Sutton who played Sgt.Carter on Gomer Pyle USMC. He is a Clarksville, TN native. To the left is the Roxy Theater and the outside is used in parts of the music video "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow.

Grew up here on Gable ct in the late 80s for a short while before moving on Base to Ft Cambell. Good times and simpler times. Alot of good memories of the school system and Governors square Mall I plan to come visit this year old friends. I can imagine it's changed alot since then.

I never heard of Clarksville until tonight so I appreciated seeing this. One thing that caught my attention is that in the entire video I never saw one piece of litter on a street. Sorry if name icon comes up 2x. Some sort of computer glitch we don't know how to fix. Thanks for this! Educational.

@@JM-ip1es I just left and lived here from 2010-2021. It’s not too bad as a new comer, but if born and raised it’s seemingly isn’t that big, not too much to do, and just gets old. If your not in the military, not in college, and don’t have children I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ll miss the cost of living and the awesome small businesses though

Not loving in in Clarksvillie. It's freaking huge - area wise, which is a very bad thing. Want Pizza? Thats 15 minutes that way. Chinese? 15 minutes the other way. Traffic sucks. Tornados, freezing winters hot sweaty summers. The weather can't be helped but I wish they planned the city better. It looks like some farmers didn't want to sell, so they just build around them. You have empty, then stuff, empty, then stuff. So you have long drives with choke points for traffic. I lived in Fort Smith Arkansas, and IMO with is just a more spread out Fort Smith with really nothing gained with an extra 80k people, I can't think of a restaurant or service Clarksvillie has the Fort Smith doesn't. I guess you are close (kind of) to Nashville and that's nice?

The downtown area is in planning for redevelopment. It's one of our less crowded areas, especially when video was filmed. Since then there's been more added such as a convention center, restaurants. Housing and much more is to come to redirect traffic there. Judging by amount of traffic it's unusually less traffic than normal even for this area. Clarksville is not a small community, but we have tried to retain a small town feel, but that is quickly changing considering the population. We've seen an influx of new residents from all over. Clarksville has always been a very diverse community, so though we're in the south you won't necessarily get the usual southern/country Red State feel most would except in South. Our city is primarily made up of people from around the world with a low percentage of multi-generational natives. Natives have a tendency of moving away and returning while new residents often move in. We travel and rotate residents often. Most residents are well traveled. This actually looks like a holiday when most are away which usually is only time there's so little traffic. Usually it's bumper to bumper traffic, even in these areas. Crime is an issue, but no more than expected for the size of the community.
