@@ixclusiverc cool I got the surpase plastic center not impressed it's in my 124008. Got another metal geared seems pretty good but not sure it's better then wl metal.

I just installed a slipper clutch into my 144001 and swapped the M0.7 spur to an LC one. I'm looking forward to dropping the WLTOYS gear pitch to something less tall. The 15t is definitely the best choice given how high KV you're running. Also the Surpass S0017M is also a solid cheap alternative to the Batan. I've got that in my EMB SCT currently

I actually wanted to try that servo. I'll order a few. I did purchase the power HD R6 servo. Have it installed in a new car haven't tested it yet. Nice idea on the spur I have a few wl slipper sets I can try out. This direct drive is so quick I turned the puch setting for batter take off in my next video.

@ixclusiverc yeah the direct drive has its pros and cons. It's nice that it's simple but over time to your point, it just wears everything down more quickly. The center driveshaft area that mates to the spur gets worn with hard driving. Diff cups also get eaten up pretty quickly as well. Not sure if you've experienced the same with your cars

Learning to drive like this gives you a huge advantage...you must really love this hobby..its unfortunate there are not nearly as many tracks open to the public as needed..in my area there are none...
