Why doesn't this channel have more views? 😐 IMO the Kraken actually looked really cool. This film was made just before CGI started getting really homogenized and cheap-looking so a lot of this trailer looks really impressive to me despite being obscenely overblown. (Shouldn't Medusa's curse in this version be to make men fall head-over-heels for her and become her slave? That would make way more sense. 😂)

Fantastic job of laying out why I hated this movie. Soulless cashgrab. And the God of War series did the whole "The gods are evil and its up to a demigod to defeat them" schtik much better than this movie did. The original CoftT movie respected the magic of storytelling - of drawing someone in to an epic tale and using the plot and setting to create a whole new world. It didn't just take a modern action hero with modern values, put him in a tunic and plunk him down in the middle of ancient Greece.
