Great video Sam. The Lionel steam turbine is definitely one of the biggest success stories. You have both versions so even more amazing. Fun to watch and I learned something new. I love that Blue Comet hoodie!!

Definitely interesting to see how different but similar these are, owning a near mint 2020 it's always nice to see how it works when it known as the 671 and the difference between the 671r's. It's definitely cool to see how engineering was forced basically to be changed due to challenges in getting raw materials to make these from. Who would have thought that something like the Korean War would have an effect on finding the materials to manufacture the Magna-Traction forcing lionels engineering firm to innovative development of their already in progress runs of models. But very cool video and thanks for sharing this with us. We are all a little smarter now.
