@@bleh8789 It did have such great armor mate, i come from that era and i even owned e5 when it was op.. and yea it was op, fast, super heavilly armored and a decent gun, u couldnt track it in front because it had somthing silly like 258mm armor behind the front wheel, t8s and most of the t9s couldnt easilly pen the lower plate even, it was just broken, maybe because the game was just much younger and the play level of the people wasnt as great or maybe because gold wasnt as popular or something, but this tank could just go in front and faaarm for days, hull down god? check! just go straight forward cuz u also had unpennable hull and amazing lower plate? check! fast and easy to reposition? check! pretty decent gun that did its job just fine and with 340 heat pen if u needed it? check! it was just broken.. or maybe it was just in front of its era for the game at that time, i dont know.

Ooh I am early for the Tier 11 tank shoot out. I have not faced many 279e and if you face them frontally you are effed, if you have side shots with a 50B and full gold then its beautiful :). With the 279e being so slow you can avoid them or at least have a chance of flanking. The mobility of the Chieftain imo makes it the better tank because it is so darn hard to outmaneuver and it always has the advantage in almost every scenario. Chieftain is better tank imho.

I think chieftain has more potential because its more mobile but 279 is even with tier X sometimes derpy with its armor and even in CW/Advance it can be a pain in the ass when it has these lucky bounces (e.g. On Ruinberg when you push 6 line and they have a few of them)

I have a chieftain and its definiitely challenging to play. I do well in it, but you HAVE to fire gold to have a chance of even 1 marking it. Also food doesn't hurt. Great game in the chieftain skill. I would say that if i'm not in a tier 10 td, the 279E is harder to deal with in the open but the chieftain is harder to deal with when hull down. The 279E as you said just has idiot proof armour. Overall the 279E is harder to deal with because the chieftain simply can't roflstomp an entiire flank the way bobject 279E can. All u need to do is have the front pointed at the enemy in that tank and not get hit by high tier tds.

simple situation for last question...talking about their main competitors of course, not about things like fArtys or top TDs... vs 279 is all about p2w gold. If you use it you have no problems...if you dont, your win chance is 0 vs FV you have chances everytime because it have proper weakpoints. FV is all about positions...in hulldown is a king, in open ground is just a normal tank ruski junk is all about p2w to deal with it... thats the main difference between them.

First of all: "kiss". I watched the full video. Then: who managed to get the chieftain? The top clans only, which are made of mostly very skilled players and some 'leftovers'. Also some other players managed to get it because they 'bought' a slot in some big clans (for top-dollars) to reach a good position. But those are very few. That means that nearly all the owners of the chieftain know how to use it well. Which means: you find a chieftain in the enemy team, then you can be pretty sure he will be hard to deal with. And the 279e? Well, mostly same thing. It's impossible for a bot to get their hands on it, not even by playing ten thousand games. Again, who will manage to get it? The very skilled players. And some others paying (and temporary lending the account) good players to get it for them. And it is the same. You see a 279e in the enemy team? It will be most likely like with the chieftain. Big troubles. The moral of the story? We - lowly noobs and not that crazily good players - can go F ourselves, cause there's no way a team made up of muppets will ever coordinate to take down a single enemy. You will see people cowering behind any corner, leaving even more field to the enemy to be OP, as noone will crossfire them, and they will take our own team one by one, in a 3 or 4 minutes game. GG. Thx for the nice waste of time and credits.

For me 279. They have same dpm. Only thing better on chieftain is its super manuverability. 279 is idiotproof. Also, chieftain can somewhat be replaced with sconq. 279 is not replaceable. With 279 you can replace any other HT in the game (from cw point of view)

Recently in CW, we faced a clan (don't ask me which one) but their team was made up of Obj. 907, Obj. 279 and Chieftains. We had one chieftain (no 279s) and half their team was 279s, we won cuz the 279 is only strong frontally. I can deal with better with the T95/Chieftain, (KISS)!
