I have a doubt mam, the waxy substance is present in the leaf it resists the water then without water how will the leaf prepare its food [photosynthesis] ?

Great question! The waxy substance on the leaves does help to repel water, but the stomata (tiny pores) on the leaves are also able to open and close. When the stomata are open, water vapor and carbon dioxide are able to enter the leaf and photosynthesis can occur!

In Non Green Plants Photosynthesis does not occur due to absence of chlorophyll. But They Make other Plants their Host and derive nutrition From them.
