The correction is.. We will intergrate eq d f=UMdxg/L The limits will be from 0 to (L/1+u) So after integration f=uMg/(1+u) Now W=f.s W=Mg/(1+u).(L/1+u) W=uMgL/ (1+u)^2 Answer will come in -ve if friction and displacement are in different directions

Correcting the last question, First off all the work done by friction is negative, the upper limit is 0 and the lower limit is L/1+μ , and later because of integration of xdx , we get x^2/2, so the problems lead answer should be like -μMGL/2(1+μ)^2 = (1/2MV^2 +MG(L/2)) - ( 0 - (μM/1+μ)g(μM/2(1+μ)) hope this helped anyone looking for the correct answer for the last q Have a great day l3

I have a verified correction at 40:00 We will intergrate eq d f=UMdxg/L The limits will be from 0 to (L/1+u) So after integration f=uMg/(1+u) Now W=f.s W=Mg/(1+u).(L/1+u) W=uMgL/ (1+u)^2 Answer will come in -ve if friction and displacement are in different directions. Sir ne dw=f.x likha jabki f.dx hota hai.... Vahi se mujhe laga kuch galat hai Ye correction sir k padhaye hue sahi concepts se hi ho paya hai🙏🙏🙏🙏thanks a lot sirji

Minus sign won't come here as we compensated it in integral limits...we took limits from 0 to (starting point).. which is already minus of displacement x from starting point

It will simply give us the work done and also analyse it logically. Acc. to COE Losses=Gains. The -ve potential energy is the energy it initially has, so it is lost. It gains KE, -ve PE as the chain goes down and heat is released as friction which is +ve when taken on the other side.
