Sir i think that second example was simple when the spring balance was connected with a wall and the mass 20kg was hanging like it should be at rest because it can't move further . Like the spring balance used in markets are also work like this . But i can't understood that when will be the spring balance was in motion ?? when it was not connected with anything or when it was accelerating downwards

If spring balance is in an accelerating lift...we will divide by g or g effective

Sir as the spring stretches by some distance say v, then shouldn't the pulley go up by a distance x-v if block gets down by we may ignore it when the information is not provided. But if the spring constant was given then should we considered that length v while finding tension or just ignore it. Please reply sir.
@physicsgalaxyworld
@physicsgalaxyworld 6 жыл бұрын
Whenever spring stretches by some distance then tension can be directly obtained by product of spring constant and the extension in spring irrespective of any other condition.... as spring and string both are considered massless...

What if the masses are different,in a case of spring(in which masses are hanging both side)
@physicsgalaxyworld

if different masses are hanging on the two sides of a spring then the system will be in motion and you can calculate tension in connecting spring which is measured by the spring balance...

sir why tension is not cancelling when masses are equal and what will happen when masses are not equal.pzz tell...
@physicsgalaxyworld
@physicsgalaxyworld 7 жыл бұрын
Tension here is being measured by spring balance, it never cancels in a spring balance as a spring balance measures the tension in the string... however the system remain in equilibrium due to equal masses.... if masses are not equal then the system will have an acceleration and then also you can find the tension using spring balance...
