amazing car- i wonder if 200 years from now, this wont be seen as the ultimate vehicle of the 20th century. designed by fascists and racists at the behest of a disgusting dictator, without question. But still the best mix of sophistication and simplicity I can think of. There's machines that are simpler and easier to repair and more ubiquitous, but they can't take you hundreds of miles on bad roads. There's vehicles that are faster and tougher, but you can't run them on terrible fuel and fix them on the side of the road with simple hand tools. it doesn't fly, but even 100 years after Kitty Hawk, only a microscopic percentage of people on the planet own aircraft, compared to the small fraction of humans that own cars.

When I move to Arizona my bug going with me...I live in great northwest Oregon and we have logging roads...so just add external oil cooler and filter....

Russ McCurdy a town called Knappa Oregon north east of Astoria, I do all my own work and design... waiting on throw out bearing before I reinstall motor, had a seized up transmission I had to fix.. it’s the stock 1959 unit I hope to update soon

but did you notice the dog walk? probably a bent trailing arm. The handling would improve greatly with that one small correction. Still a good video though.
