Introduction:
Relation
Relation is a subset of cartesian product.
Cartesian Product:
We get ordered pairs from Cartesian Product. Cartesian Product AxB between A and B is the set of all possible pairs with the first element from set A and the second element from set B.
Types of Relations:
1. Empty Relation
2. Universal Relation
3. Identity Relation
and
4. Equivalence Relation
i)Reflexive
ii)Symmetric
iii)Transitive.
Functions:
A relation is a function if all A elements have only one image in B.
Types of functions
i)One-One function
ii)Onto function
iii)One-one and Onto function
