In AC to DC conversion the inverted part of wave is changed to converted part. AC to DC conversion is done for making the AC signal compatible for use.

of course it's changing with the equation I = I0 sin(omega t) but we can find it's average value by integrating for the half cycle and say that it's the dc equivalent of that ac current

I have confusion about the number of turns of transformer in primary and secondary coils.They shouldn't be equal....

muhammad asad they can be or cannot be equal.... In this example we used step down transformer, so secondary turns will be less. But that is not our concern, here we are trying to convert AC to DC, so it's OK.
