A few things ive noticed about Class 458/5s. .The ones with newer glass strip windows dont have traction motors under the toilet trailer car. But the 458/5s that have the hopper style windows have motors under their toilet trailer car, Weird lol. Also, Technically they arent geared to 75mph. More like 85mph or 90mph the way the motor/gearbox sounds scream , they take longer to reach a certain sound pitch/scream, than the likes of the Class 465/1s which have a similar motor/gear drive sounds blend at speed. The class 465/1s start screaming at around 45mph whereas the class 458s start screaming around 60mph at a certain pitch, indicating some higher than 75mph gear ratio. Again the 465 BRELs have a similar geardrivr/motor set up as 458s. But 458s just take longer to reach higher pitch sounds and thus tale longer to reach higher motor rotational speeds.

I like these. The declassified 1st Class is great, and the superior ride quality VS 450s, 455s and 701s elevates them high up in my book

Nice, they are pretty decent. A bit slow but whatevs. But ultimately comfy. They have some weird motor buckling at times. I remember it sounded a bang once and the carriage slightly shifted. Not sure what caused it
