Yes, you can use associative property on more than three numbers. There should be at least 3 numbers... e.g. ( 2 + 3 ) + 9 + 1 = 2 + ( 3 + 9 ) + 1 = 2 + 3 + ( 9 + 1 ). for example: 3 + (-6) - (-1223) + 6 - (-1245). we Simplify this question, Subtraction of two Integers is SAME as Addition of ADDITIVE INVERSE of the second number. now, it will look like, = 3 + (-6) + (+1223) + 6 + (+1245) ( addive inverse of -1223 and - 1245 are +1223 and +1245 respectively ) now, 3 + (-6) = -3 now, -3 + (+1223) + 6 + (+1245) -3 + (+1223) = +1220 now, +1220 + 6 + (+1245) = (+1220 + 6) + (+1245) = +1226 + +1245 = +2471 ans. +2471.
