After you drive for a while and you actually do your pre-trip inspection (never skip your pre-trip), you will spot something out of place instantly. The more you look over your truck, the better you will be at spotting problems. DOT will inspect everything, so you should to. Every part of the inspection is important, but tires are something you should check every time you stop. Thump the tires real quick and look at them to make sure your treads are not about to fall off and they are full of air. And that damned ABS system on the trailer will go out all the time.

Same here.. I am paying $2300 for my school and they barely speak English and they don’t care about teaching very much. You basically have to fight to get a turn in the trucks at the school because the other students are very inconsiderate. It is too late to get my money back and I only have 1 month of vacation time available so it isn’t worth backing out. I am basically using KZbin videos like these ones and a homemade pretrip inspection booklet that contains pictures. I am doing well but it is only because I am basically teaching myself.
