Great, doc! I've a question if the enamel is ~2 mm and dentin ~2.5/3 the distance from surface to pulp chamber ceiling is roughly 4,5/5 mm. Is this right?

Thank you. The enamel thickness occlusally is 1 mm. That is why if the caries is less than 1 mm (within enamel) we use conservative treatment approach. The distance is typically around 3 mm. It varies from one person to another.

When there is a cusp the pulpal depth will be more than 1.5mm while close to the pit or in secondary groove the pulpal floor depth is the minimum which is 1.5. according to this the pulpal floor is flat but the depth is different at different areas! Correct me if I am wrong

Correct. Nevertheless, the variation will be minimal. Especially when the cavity is conservative and at the center of the grooves. The most important thing is that the shallowest depth in 1.5 mm for proper material retention. And the floor is flat and perpendicular to the outer surface of the tooth.

Which bur you used for the initial cut ? If hand instruments not allowed in the exam what we can use to shape the box ?

For initial cutting you may use a small low speed round bur, or use #245 bur or a straight fissure bur in an angle to initiate the cutting. If hand instrument is not allowed you may use the #245 bur or a straight fissure bur carefully not to injure the neighboring. Most of experienced doctors create the box solely with the bur. If your course allow it, you may place a finder wedge or a piece of metal matrix band to protect the neighboring from getting injured during box preparation. In our school we don’t allow students to use finder wedges or metal matrix band to protect the neighboring (they are allowed only in the clinics) because with plastic teeth a lot of separation in created with the wedge or band which does not mimic the clinical scenario. This way our students can be better prepared for the clinic.

I tried but did not work 😢 I have problem with the box ! The floor is irregular and the box Not well defined . I have hard time to do the occlusal out form because the 330 keep going up and down and cause irregular shapes. Can I send you my perpetration and tell me how to improve ? I have a bench test soon so I need your help please

@@olaimad1640 you can prepare the entire cavity with #245 bur. If the cavity is irregular or the bur keeps going up and down, check these things: 1. Make sure the bur is not eccentric. If eccentric, it causes the cavity to be irregular. 2. If the bur is not eccentric, Make sure the handpiece itself is good and not making strange sounds as the handpiece may be damaged. 3. After inserting the bur, move it by you your fingers to make sure it is not moving the inside of the handpiece head (where the bur grips), if the bur grip is moving it can cause the cavity to be irregular. 4. Make sure you have proper finger support to stabilize your hand. 5. Make sure you have enough water coolant to help smooth the cavity. @@OriginalOogway في هذا الحديثِ يُخبِرُ النَّبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم بأنَّه سَيَكونُ جَماعةٌ مِن أُمَّتِه يَستحِلُّونَ بعضَ المحرَّماتِ، والاستحلالُ هو أنْ يَفعَلَ الحرامَ بدَعْوى أنَّه حَلالٌ بالتأويلاتِ الفاسِدةِ، ولهذا قال: «من أمتي»، فجعَلَهم بعضَ أمَّتِه مع استحلالهم بالتأويلِ؛ لأنَّهم لو استحَلُّوها مع اعتقادِ أنَّ اللهَ ورسولَه حَرَّماها، لكانوا كُفَّارًا، وخرجوا عن أمَّتِه. وأوَّلُ هذه المحَرَّماتِ هو الحِرُ، وهو الفَرْجُ، ويقصِدُ الزِّنا، قال تعالى: {وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الزِّنَا إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاءَ سَبِيلًا} [الإسراء: 32]، وأيضًا يستحِلُّون الحريرَ، وهو حرامٌ على الذُّكورِ دونَ الإناثِ، وكذا يَستحِلُّون الخمرَ، وهي كُلُّ ما يُسكِرُ ويُغَطِّي العَقلَ، ويستحِلُّون أيضًا المعازفَ، وهي آلاتُ اللَّهوِ والموسيقا. وقيل: مدارُ استحلالِ هذه المحَرَّماتِ وغَيرِها على تسميةِ الشَّيءِ باسمِ غيرِه، كمن تزوَّج امرأةً ليُحِلَّها لزَوجِها؛ فإنَّهم يُسَمُّونه في العَقدِ زَوجًا، وإنما هو المحلِّلُ الملعونُ، والتَّيسُ المستعارُ، واستحلالُ الخَمرِ بتسمِيَتِها بغيرِ اسمِها، فيقولون: مشروباتٌ رُوحانيَّةٌ، وغيرَ ذلك. ثمَّ أنْبَأَ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّم عن أقوامٍ يَنزِلون إلى جَنْبِ عَلَمٍ، وهو الجبَلُ، يرُوحُ عليهم بسارحةٍ لهم، أي: يَسيرُ الرَّاعي بغَنَمٍ لهم، وهي السَّارحةُ في المراعي، وفي أثناءِ ذلك يَأتيهم الفقيرُ يَسأَلُهم الحاجةَ، فيَرُدُّونه ويقولون: ارجِعْ إلينا غدًا، وهم يقصِدون بذلك رَدَّه حتى لا يُعْطوه شيئًا، «فيُبيِّتُهم اللهُ»، أي: يأخُذُهم بالعذابِ وهم في وقتِ البَياتِ؛ وهو اللَّيلُ، ويضَعُ الجبَلَ، أي: يُوقِعُه، عليهم فيُهلِكُهم. ثمَّ قال: «ويَمسَخُ آخَرين قِردةً وخَنازيرَ إلى يومِ القيامةِ» أي: إلى مِثلِ صُوَرِها حقيقةً، كما وقَعَ لبعضِ الأُمَمِ السَّابقةِ، ولم يُبَيِّن في هذا الحَديثِ مكانَهم ولا ذُنوبَهم، وإنما أفاد أن المسْخَ يكونُ في آخِرِ الزَّمانِ عند نزولِ الفِتَنِ. وقيل: «ويَمسَخُ آخَرين» أي: يجعَلُ صُوَرَ آخَرينَ ممَّن لم يَهلِكْ من البياتِ المذكورِ «قِردةً وخَنازيرَ إلى يومِ القيامةِ»، وفي هذا حَضٌّ للمُسلِمِ على اجتنابِ المعاصي؛ كي لا يقَعَ في العذابِ ومَسْخِ الصُّوَرِ. وفي الحَديثِ: عَلامةٌ مِن عَلاماتِ النُّبوَّةِ. وفيه: أنَّ استحلالَ المعاصي -مِثلُ الزِّنا والحريرِ والخَمرِ والمعازفِ- من أكبرِ الكبائِرِ.

Yes, I agree. That’s my next step. I created the videos in Arabic targeting my students in their native language, because I use videos in teaching my course, and uploaded them on KZbin based on the student request. Also, the videos were recorded in Arabic to target Arabic speaking students because there was a need for videos in Arabic. I appreciate your feedback 😊.
