Mam in cell the nucleus is present ,in nucleus genetical material i.e chromosome is present and in chromosome DNA 🧬 is present in p and q arms and in DNA there is gene but you said in DNA chromosome is present and in chromosome gene is present 🤔 what is correct please reply

Mam.. zygote means fusion of gamete.. So kaise zygote kaise 50%DNA produce... Aur jaaha CELL Division waaha Variation aayega... So in ASEXUAL AND SEXUAL reproduction both having Variation..

Dear student, Asexual reproduction do not involve gametes, it literally means cleaving of parent cell into two daughter cells, so no variation is seen during asexual reproduction. During sexual reproduction, 23 chromosomes from each parents fuse and crossing over is seen to form 46 chromosomes in a zygote, hence variation is observed. The zygote contains 100% Dna from parents, but later during the growth and development of the zygote it follows semi-conservative Dna replication where 50% is old Dna (i.e. parent's dna) and remaining 50% is produced by the fetous itself using old dna as a template. You will learn about semi-conservative method in next chapter. Stay tuned.
