Been learning bass for about three years. This Monday I really didn't want to wash up so I checked what was going on in my area. I found there was a Jazz night where people could just turn up on their instruments and play. I got there with my bass and they put down my name immediately. I was really nervous as I'd only done one open mic night before with heavily rehearsed songs, but they found me a 12 bar blues song with a CFG progression just like this play along to. I was plopped straight in the middle of a band with piano, two trumpeters and a jazz drummer, all of which were years above my skill level. It was incredible and I actually did a lot better than i was expecting, and people told me they were really impressed I would turn up out of nowhere and rack up and play! Anyway I'm here honing my blues and this is a perfect backing track, thanks very much!
