Classic British Rail - 37156+47604 on the Inverness to Euston Sleeper - 19-10-90

We return south from Inverness on the Euston Sleeper departing behind 37156+47604 with the 37 being removed at Aviemore. At Carstairs we see 90022 taking over for the run South before seeing the train depart Crewe.

As always, and it wasn't long after this that pairs of 37's started to be used on the Highland Sleepers!

Best thing about the sleepers was the shunting and loco changes and I even remember at one stage the trains were going via Mossend Yard I think!
