I used to work for EMD in the 90's. Nothing like the enchanting, smooth, dull roar of two-stroke diesels. I worked with 710 4000 HP engines. Can I assume the engine you're showing is the old 567 engine? Thanks for showing details only us RR "nerds" could appreciate :) Happy New Year

yes both have 567s, S317 has the EMD16-567 and B76 has the EMD16-567BC. not sure what difference the 'BC' makes

Yes the S class came out with a 567 but S317 actually had a 645E
