I wonder why that guy only says “What”. I tend to overthink things, so these are just theories: He could be hard of hearing and trying to lip read, but it’s hard to for him to read lips or he could speak very little English and all he really knows is “what” and a few other sentences. I know the “what” airport guy is just a funny gag, but these are just a few possible theories because I overthink a lot 🥲👍

I tend to obsess over small details as well, so I think your theories are equally likely to be true. I'm not sure about how to prove or disprove them, but I'm inclined to agree with you. I also have another theory of my own: the guy may understand English perfectly, but possibly says what just to annoy the troublemakers and make them even angrier than they already are at being forced to go on a vacation to a place they don't want to be.

For episode 1, I have an idea for how Classic Caillou could really get his family in trouble on the way to the Bahamas that also preserves their prepackaged swimwear: replace all of the clothes and even the suitcases with camouflage print attire using GoAnimate logic. Since it is illegal for civilians to own camouflage clothing in the Bahamas, they would have to surrender it all. Best possible case scenario: the contraband could be shipped back to the United States. Concerning Classic Caillou's preference for going to New York City instead, another long-running gag I've created would have Classic Caillou having to be sedated after his raging outburst, automatically resulting in the grounding that was threatened. Once the family gets settled in their Bahamian cabana, Classic Caillou's megadose of sedatives would wear off, allowing him to use GoAnimate logic to teleport to New York City instead. However, the punishment day that would result would immediately get Classic Caillou transported to live in a traditional Bahamian house for the rest of his life, never to return to GoAnimate City, on top of his year-long grounding and having his video game/TV privileges permanently revoked. Classic Caillou would try to use GoAnimate logic to modernize the tiny cabin and take back his belongings, but an unseen force straight out of the Backrooms would disintegrate the recovered belongings as everything but the most basic furniture and a small selection of essential items would be contraband.
