Its all Skegness from 5 min 14 secs, awesome footage of Bottons Wild Mouse etc plus north parade amusement park (ex Butlins). I have a lot of footage from the 1980's on but this is priceless stuff, thanks for posting.

Just have just fulfilled a dream...I waited so long to ride the mouse at skegness, and the year I was old enough it had gone so I am amazed to see the on ride footage here.....

@tenterden16 You're right ... sometimes I think the past is so much better - certainly when you think about the way things are going in the world today - so what's wrong with escaping into the past once and a while.

Were these compilation of videos from the 60's and 70's? By the way excellent footage you've got here of classic rides in the UK. Rides looked so simple back then. :)

That's excellent footage. What year was the final video of Classic Coasters & Fairgrounds? Just wondering because I noticed a steel Schwarzkopf looping coaster.

I think most of it was filmed in 1973 ish but the Schwarzkopf Looping Star was at Southport, I think, so it must have been very early 80's. I uploaded these video's because they are so good and a great piece of history, they were given to me by a friend in the roller coaster club, his name is David Wragg and what he doesn't know about these coasters, isn't worth knowing. I think he checks in to here occasionally so maybe he will put us straight in the near future, or correct any inaccuracies about this set of video's.

Thanks. I find older videos to be interesting than newer ones sometimes. :)
