I think the reason why season 5 is the weakest of the show’s original run was because their head writer, Steve Marmel, was working more with Danny Phantom at the time. The only episodes Marmel actually was credited for were: something’s fishy, the good o days, timmy the barbarian, fairy idol, and jimmy timmy power hour part 2 and 3.

i would agree but i actually even liked the seaons with only the half hour specials i hated season 9 and 10 they are terrible but the rest is fine and Season 6 is still very goods

Thank you. Finally someone else who gets it, unlike many of these toxic Season 6 haters. It was shortly after Season 7 began that the show truly started to decline in quality until it drowned in a pool of blood in Seasons 9 and 10.

Season 6 wasn’t bad at all. Season 7 was when characters started disappearing and Mr. Crocker began popping up in nearly every episode.

Oh, so THAT's where the Crimson Chin comes from! I once got a Fairly OddParents plastic glass as the toy in a Kids Meal at Burger King a good 15+ years ago and it had the Crimson Chin on it...but not Cosmo and Wanda, for some reason. I have heard of It's A Wishful Life and how bad it it. You've probably seen "Magic Show" from Hey Arnold that did that plot right. That's because unlike Timmy, Helga believes people would miss her if she disappeared, and then when she has the dream where she does disappear and everyone celebrates it, she reflects and acts kinder to her parents and Phoebe. She even tries to say something nice to Arnold, but he's cross because she screwed up his last trick by sneaking off, so he doesn't listen. Point is, if you want the character to not be missed when they disappear, it needs to be someone who needed to learn to be nicer and appreciate the people around them. Helga fit that perfectly, especially as it was in the first season and she didn't really show any genuine kindness towards anyone until a little later on in the series. Timmy's lesson was supposed to be about not just doing good deeds for recognition, as far as I've heard, but I think they either needed to choose a different character and scrap the moral, or do the moral differently - have Timmy learn that it's nice to be nice, but not when you're doing things just to be seen as nice and it's OK to be selfish once in a while, because if you're not recognized for all the good stuff, you shouldn't have to feel guilty for the indulgent stuff. I haven't actually seen the episode, so I have no idea if that would work, but that's what I think, anyway.

If you ask me it should be the Loud Sisters not Timmy Turner to learnr he lesson of doing good deeds for the sake of it and not ecpect any thing inreturn seen in Pulp and moreso in Con . By the way unlike in Luck Butch at least aplogize for Wishful Life

I mostly agreed with this video except for a few points: I actually thought Miss Dimmsdale was a pretty funny episode, and I honestly wasn't ever a fan of Escape from Unwish Island, I liked the fan service in the episode of how it references a bunch of episodes, but it felt like it missed so much potiential, should have been a 22 min special imo. The Big Superhero Wish for me is just OKAY, its an episode thats harmless to me, and Fairy Idol? Its the opposite of The Big Superhero Wish for me, since theres both about an equal amount of stuff I like in that episode, and stuff I dislike. I'm also surprised that Just the 2 of Us wasn't on the list, because I honestly think that episode completely ruins Trixie's character! For Part 1, a few other season 1 and 2 episodes I was never fond of was The Big Problem! and Apartnership! like you said, but other episodes I was never a fan of were Dog's Day Afternoon, because the humor in that episode feels so...dumb down and pretty gross at times, The Same Game is an episode I just find boring, I love the message, but theres not very much good jokes in the episode. I always thought A.J. was acting a bit selfish in Smarty Pants, The Switch Glitch felt too mean spirited, and Fool's Day Out for me was a bit annoying at times, but other than those few episodes, I still love the show for the most part. for me, Season 5 is where the show started dropping quality, i'd even personally say that Season 6 at times can be better than Season 5, Season 7 and 8 are almost as solid as Season 5 in terms of some quality but even those seasons have some not great episodes. And lets all pretend the last 2 seasons are not canon, but i'll admit this...Season 9 actually had a few good episodes...nuff said

@@mccrillisnsiah to answer your question: everyone felt really flanderized in Season 5, well a few characters were beginning to feel flanderized by Season 4, but Season 5 is where it was getting worse, not to mention all of the episodes I found reaaally bad, like Teeth for Two, Five Days of Flarg, Wishful Life, House of Horror, etc. As well as a bunch of episodes I honestly thought were meh, but to be fair, I don't think the season is bad despite being the downfall, it had its fair share of great episodes.

My issue with season 8 its too short only 5 episodes long it should have just been part of 7 . Ed Edd n Eddy got away with a short season in its 6th casue it was the last one .

@@EmployeeAMillion There are very few episodes of the fairly odd parents that I hate it is one of my favorate cartoons of all time. My least favorate episodes are School of Crock. Making poof learn how to talk ruined his character he was perfect as a mime that was implied to be an intelgent baby. After that he started disapearing from long stretches of episodes that was weird. They could just draw him floating next to cosmo and wanda. Timmy TV the plot was fine but one like bothers me when Timmy says you can't take away cosmo and wanda who else will poof me up ice cream. Really after all you've been through Timmy. And the flash episodes everything else is good and hilarious.
