***** What I can gather from your post is that you don't exactly like anime very much?, as well as Hong kong movies being a bigger inspiration than anime?, that's subjective but a good point, both had an influence. I wasn't reffering to anime at all, but the character Guts from a manga (japanese comic) called "Berserk" they have a very similar haircut as well as somewhat similar expressions of rage. Also, your comments on anime are broad generalizations, most mainstream anime can be quite shallow and childish in nature with their cliche story telling, but many anime are mature, thoughtful and artful quality-wise, the anime adaptation of Berserk is a good example.

Finally someone who can appreciate this underrated gem. Mark is just awesome and just accepts games for what they are. True, I too was expecting more action in it, but its still a good game and if heavy rain can get as many praises with its story/cutscene driven gameplay then so should Asura's Wrath.

Hello, you must be new here... Actually, CGR was originally just The Game Room back in 1999-2000, when it started again in 2008 the name was changed to this. And considering that it was one of the first video game review shows on the internet, the Classic in the title is fitting.

As soon as I played the demo, I knew I was buying this game on day one. It gets a lot of hate from people with certain tastes but for gamers that play every type of game (Like me), it really was a treat. Glad CGR agrees.

Your assumptions are worthless here. Don't assume. I have seen a LOT of CGR reviews. Hundreds probably. His perspective is always, "I enjoyed this game". That's it. He always sounds like someone who wants to like a game so badly, that he finds a way to like it. It also seems to pander to the viewers. Like I said, it feels like there's an unspoken premise: that viewers come to his video reviews to hear what they want to hear. And Mark simply provides that for them.

Ever since I saw this Game on Pre Conception Stage, I was looking so foward to this game, I thought that it was going to be an awesome game, for the Visuals, and now that I had the Oportunity to Play this Awesome Game, I have experienced the Most Amazing Game, The Storytelling is just top notch, the Visuals are just amazing. Highly recomended Game.

Sadly has a huge sonic fan i do agree to that. Big time sonic fans loved the 2-D games, and I guess Sega didn't want to listen to us and continued to make 3-D sonic games until they finally got it right in Sonic Generations

The PC version is different but Xbox/PS2/Gamecube Nightfire = Best Game ever! Don't miss out on the local multiplayer if you review it, Mark. It's even better than Golden Eye's in my opinion! Though I don't think you will be reading this.

its a great story driven game, and crazy button masher as well, i highly recommend using an older controller because you might where out your good one, i learned the hard way. lol

It's a mix of Dragon Ball, Akuma from SF, God of War, Bayonetta, and action anime. It has the style and aesthetics of a Sega game instead of a Capcom game, though.

IIRC, ALL the DLC is GB-sized. Even the anime episodes. The last 3 DLCs came with trophies, but not the anime episodes.

a little bit of correction, cgr DOES gives bad ratings to game, but not mark, they're in cgrundertow. and yes, if you want to buy a game, it's best to watch prof reviews (ign,gamespot,gametrailers,etc) but if you have bought the game and want to watch a review, then you can go to mark. I believe he reviewing games only to entertain people and make jokes out of them, not to 'really' review the game.as for his voice, it's all about taste, no one's gonna hate you for it

I hate people who make blanket statements. Not all DLC is split up or locked on the disc. The DLC looks quality, and doesn't seem split up (I'd love to see someone hack the disc. They'd probably find nothing). If one can play video games on a PS3/360 and doesn't have net connection, there's something missing here.

No, the pre DLC ending, the regular one where Mithra got possesed. If it had ended on that and never got a follow up, it woul dof been bullshit. Thus DLC. DLC helps increase a games value over time and in the case of some low selling games (Like Nippon Ichi games) helps it regain back it's budget. Not to mention if the DLC isn't bought, the team that made the DLC doesn't get any paychecks.

You must not watch too many of CGR's reviews then. He does tell you when he doesn't like a game or if it's bad. Look around. Mark simply gives his perspective on a game, and lets US decide if we want to play it.

they would also have to pay for packaging, which means YOU would pay for packaging. plus stores would need more room to carry such discs, which to them would be pointless, they would rather sell a game for $20+ than a 10 dollar DLC disc.

Asura's Wrath is only PRODUCED by capcom, not directly made by them. CyberConnect2 (Of Dot Haack fame) made and Directly developed Asura's Wrath. When will all you people hating on capcom realize this.

You realize that the entire game is delivered, right? The DLC consists of mini anime episodes, a Street Fighter cross-over, and yes, a $7 4-episode pack that is completely non-essential as the game wraps itself up without it. Try playing it before you hate on it.

I only played the demo and it looked and played great. But one issue that annoyed me is when I fought the 2nd guy in the moon and the music was just some public domain classic piece which I did not like. It sounded out of place in a game loosely based on Buddhist/Hindu/Shinto religions. I will get it as soon as I have time for a new game and if this is around $40 or less .

Bad marketing, as Angry Joe said. They didin't split it off, they started making it when the testing phase that all games go through by the companies that make the consoles put them through to see if it has enough quality to be released on the console of choice. Learn how game development works, people.

3 words: Budget and Deadline. Publishers set a release date which developers have to meet, and are given budgets by the publishers. The amount of money and the deadline are enormous factors in whether something can be put into the main game or DLC. I will say some DLC is crappy, but it's a very bad idea to blanket all DLC from separate games by the simple inclusion of DLC. At best, it should be judged case-by-case. Not all DLC is bad, illegit, or good and legit. But don't group all DLC in 1 way.

Or maybe because they like the games because they like the games for what they are. And one musn't forget that Marvel Super Heroes vs .Street Fighter is essentially to X-men vs. Street Fighter as UMvC3 is to the original. Yet no one seemed to hate on that. it's nothing new.

And Marvel vs. Capcom 2 isn't even more broken, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 deliberately fixed the many mistakes made by it. I'm saying that a new version of a the same vs. capcom game isn't as new as people think it is, nor is what capcom ever does is new either. I don't get why Sonic fans are still mad. Sonic Generations pretty much gives the fans what they want: a combo of old and new school Sonic gameplay. But I guess in the end, there's no pleasing people. As for the ME3 ending, is it really as bad as people say it is? I have the game, but I haven't beaten it yet.

the reasons for ondisc DLC are twofold, both benefitial to the developers/publishers. If we play together online and you have a DLC pack that I don't, I need those assets. Putting them on every disc means they don't have to spend time/effort/money on writing special matchmaking algorithms to make sure people with the same versions of the game play together, and not to mention that it costs them $100.000+ to upload their content on services like Xbox live and PSN. This is the sad truth.

I have seen plenty of action Animes and the only one with huge battles like this is Dragonball. Its just a stereotype that all Anime is like this from the people that have only seen Dragonball Z and no other Animes.
