Classic Game Room - GUNDAM BATTLE ASSAULT 2 review for PS1

I played the hell out of this game back in the day! Hmmm.. Brings back memories. That's right, you don't need to be a Gundam fan to enjoy this game. Like everyone has already said, the controls are tight, animations are smooth (notice that, unlike most 2D fighting games, different parts of the Mobile Suit are animated individually and not as a whole sprite), and lots of replay value. Play it! Who knows, it might even convince you to try watching the Anime shows as well. And you won't regret it.

This sequel is a HUGE improvement from the original Gundam: BA. The original was truly sloppy and the controls seem off. Darn I miss 2D style Gundam figthing games now, especially Gundam Wing Endless Figthers, which is a beast.

I literally played this game for days when I was a kid. I was unstoppable with Dragon Gundam and Gundam Epyon. Watching this brought back so many memories my eyes started to get watery. Ill remember this game and Megaman Legends 2 for my life.

"Time" is the fourth dimension. Fifth dimension (I think) is all four combined, or looking at time from an outside perspective. After the 6th dimendsion, it gets a little fucked up and confusing. So, if someone says a game is 4D in the near future: it means the game has realistic passage of time (like plants growing in real time etc.)

This game... brings back so many memories T~T even though it's in my room right now LOL This game launched me into fighting games as a kid, and now I'm taking on KoF, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and others along those lines. Now my little brothers are enjoying this game (they're 8 and 11 years old). The youth of today are not totally hopeless if they can still play games like this. Honestly, put this on the EVO line-up too! So much epicness to control in a room at once LOL Long live Battle Assault!

This looks a lot like Zoids FMC. The HUD is more or less the same - even the way health is taken away. The way special attacks are carried out also follows the same pattern. Shame you can only get that game in Japanese.
