Actually I'd argue the Neo Geo CD loads faster. Here's why; it went through almost two loading sequences plus a cutscene in the time it took the Hyperscan to do just one loading sequence.

It looked like crap even then, I was looking at it because I thought it was funny as hell, and even then, I was collecting consoles, and I thought why not? I ended up not getting it. Dude, back in the day we was popping a tape into a tape deck and waiting 10 minutes for Operation Wolf to load (ZX Spectrum) and if you looked at the tape deck the wrong way during the load it would crash and force you to start again.
