Jawbreaker was originally designed for the PC and other home computers. I have the C-64 cassette version (thats how old school I am!) but the 2600 version plays faster and doesn't have any (bad) background music.

That's something you don't hear everyday! The 2600 version does look awesome and will definitely keep my eyes open for it!

I’m watching this again today, and I am ever impressed with how good your KZbin videos sound. Great job Mark! I personally think you need to come back and make game review videos again from the intergalactic space arcade!

The last special Classic Game Room was the review of Metroid II for the Game Boy. And he was able to punk the viewers in that video. Cool, at least we can now post KZbin links in the comments. Classic Game Room - METROID II: RETURN OF SAMUS review for Game Boy

Jawbreaker is a great game. I think also that this version is better playable than the C64 version.

We had the Commodore Vic-20 version. The graphics look pretty much the same, but it had background music (the "Can Can" before you can eat the jawbreakers and "In the Hall of the Mountain King" when you could eat them, if I remember correctly). Also, I believe the Vic-20 version was published by Sierra On-Line.
@SteveBrandon11 жыл бұрын
Oh, pardon, looking at KZbin videos of the VIC-20 version, the graphics aren't that similar, everything's bigger, but there are only 5 rows and you can't move up and down the sides of the screen.

BTW I noticed a recent Pop video playing in the food court at my nearby mall that had a kid in an old electronics shop and he was quite clearly playing a Vectrex. When I noticed this I started paying more atention to the video and the Vectrex shows up quite a bit in the video and the closing shot of the video is a close up of the legendary console itself. The text was too small for when they id'ed the video so I'm not sure who the band was. Figured I'd pass that along.

Does anybody know whether it is some kind of change on youtube which is preventing leaving of comments on older videos? For example I look at older ClassicGameRoom videos and there is no reply button. Same for my own videos, and I am pretty sure it is not something on my side.

@vintagevideogameplay11 жыл бұрын
No, just the 2600 version of it,has they did license it from Namco. Plus Atari were Lawsuit crazy back in the day. They had K.C munchkin banned becos it looked and played similar to Pacman on the 2600. So i do credit them for the 2600 version.
