Great review man. Such an underated stick! You got me to buy several of these and I love them. Something to also mention is that these are VERY easy to mod and swap buttons and joystick. I did a video on this recently so check it out. Love your channel!

Wait, wait, wait, let me retrace these steps here... Years ago, I discovered the Konami Hyperstick, and picked up a spare one to send to Mark on CGR. Mark reviewed the stick here, which in turn inspired you to purchase one. You then start your own series which covers the Hyperstick and how to modify it. I discover your channel and watch your LAS & mod videos and get inspired to build wild variants of the Hyperstick to use on actual arcade PCBs and GBA games. Talk about coming full circle!

I had to give you one because they're my all time favorite controller. Knew you'd like it too. Very high quality, and they simply feel great. They don't come up on ebay all the time (though they do sometimes), but you can find these pretty often on Japanese auction sites. That one was pretty dirty when I got it too, had to give it a good cleaning before shipping to CGR.

I have the PS1 Namco stick (the gray one with yellow buttons, manufactured by Hori) and use it to this day! It's very sturdy and holds its own even now when it was made in 1997. You should check that one out as well Mark.

What makes this stick even better is the fact it used all-Seimitsu parts. So it was truly an arcade-quality stick.

Mark, check the Namco Arcade Stick manufactured by Hori. It was designed for the original PlayStation and it's still highly regarded as one of the best ones ever made.

I'd be interested to the see the pcb. I wonder if Konami made this or it was simply licensed by Konami. Lots of arcade sticks made back in the day claimed they were made by the publisher, but you only see the truth when you look at the pcb. One example is the NES Advantage. Made by Nintendo right? Nope. ASCIIware.

Satoshi Matrix the PCB is Konami. I’ve actually desoldered it off the buttons and reused it for a twin stick setup with the right stick mapped to the face buttons. And as has been stated, the stick uses real arcade parts. Seimitsu LS-56-01 stick and PS15 short throw buttons.

If you are going to get an arcade stick go for a ps1/2 stick because there are adapters to use ps1/2 controllers on practcly everything though you will need a wired Xbox controller to use it on 360 or Xbox one :(

i would prefer to buy one of the new arcade sticks with sanwa original arcade joystick/buttons an tweak it with a PS360+ multiconsole PCB(about 60 Dollars) With this you only need one or two fightsticks an can use them for most of your systems PS3, PS2, PSX, Dreamcast, Saturn, SNES, NES, Xbox 360, XBox1 (1st gen - not Xbox ONE) & PC
