This was the first game I ever got for my GBA. I actually really enjoyed it at the time.

The ps2 version supported co-op, Player 1 drove and player 2 used the guncon to shoot stuff. Really cool concept.

I have the GameCube version. It's a great game! Some portable versions of games suck really bad. I got it for 5$ and would certainly recommend it.

I had a go at this game a while back and under the circumstances thought that they did a reasonable job at it! the controls were pretty stiff but its more of less on a par with the GBA port of Driv3r and other 3D games for the GBA! they were able to represent reasonable looking 3D vehicles and buildings etc and the shooting mechanic worked ok

If Mark can't find a kind word to say about a game, you know it's bad. I actually got that same GBA SP today. Love the brighter backlight option. Don't think I'll be adding this game to my collection unless it comes with a lot of better games on eBay or something.

The soundtrack for the DreamCast version (composed by his magnificence, Tim Follin) is phenomenal.

"My time would have been better spent picking my nose, which has superior controls and graphics." LOL I found this game when going through some old stuff, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying it. After looking at this, I would feel guilty selling it to anyone. Amazingly, you can still buy this on Amazon.com for around $10 bucks.

I think they actually did do that, but it was a hidden objects game, like the CSI games.Only without a dodgy CGI Carruso to populate your nightmares for the next week and a half.

Actually, the game was in development for three years. And the music that isn't from the show is composed by Tim Follin, though the console version I'm sure has better music.

The two biggest problems with the GBA to me, boils down to two kinds of games. And 1 bigger thing. 1: The games that try to be 3D, like this game. It's a GBA, the thing it was best at, was SNES style games. When it was a portable SNES, it was amazing, but when they tried to shove 3D stuff on it, it almost always failed(not 100% of the time, but most of the time). 2: The countless Licensed games that were trying to be both Platformers, and Puzzle games. Kim Possible and the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory game is a good example. With kim possible, they could have easily made a generic beat-em-up and it would have probably been decent. But instead, they had to do what a LOT of licensed games did, and throw puzzles and stuff in for some reason. "Stand on this platform and throw an item at the switch to open the door." How bout I just punch the door and it opens, easier, and more fun. 3: Pre-rendered graphics. Yes, Donkey Kong Country and SNES did it well. But the GBA has SO many games with pre-rendered graphics, and most of the time, it looks horrible. There's only a few occasions I can think of where it looks ok. The DKC games obviously, and Tekken Advance. The GBA wasn't meant for realistic textures, or 3D models and stuff as I said in point 1. When the GBA tried to be an SNES, it did well. Sure, there were other kinds of bad games, but those are the 2 major things that stick out to me. I like new things, but there's something to be noted, when most of the best and most popular GBA games, look like they belong on an SNES, and AREN'T trying to be stupdly 3D or puzzley for no reason.

I used to have this game. (Still do but dont have a gba charger) Ulrtermatly, it pushes the system too far, and i wouldnt tolerate it flaws now. That said I enjoyed it at the time and theres skill to grasping the controls and maps. A passable driver clone lies underneath if you can tolarate the flaws and it really could have been alot worse. Its a tough game that real did try to be a solid drive clone but was to ambitious for the hardware.

How about playing as Alf holding a cat hostage driving an El Camino trying to escape Mork and Mindy hovering above you in an egg shaped UFO, traveling in time when you reach 88 miles per hour, only to reappear in some else's body trying to save someone's life while being assisted by a hologram named ziggy who tells you your only hope of saving Angela Lansberry is with a coat hanger and some bubble gum?

Well, GBA and SNES are very different machines. GBA as two CPUs. One main 23-bit ARM architecture and another "legacy" Z80 equivalent CPU. And doesn't have a sound processor. Nintendo ported all the SNES libraries on GBA, including the famous SNES's mode-7. This is why many games have similar graphics to the SNES and this is why 3DO-like 3D graphics are possible

Driver 2 on the GBA is a great game. It can be unforgiving with the short time limits for missions, but the presentation, gameplay, and large maps make it a fun game. Startsky and Hutch is very bad, the controls are horrible and the audio is also very poor. I own both games and would recommend Driver 2 if you were getting one of these games.

Why on earth did so many people try to do 3D on the GBA. Back on the SNES it was cool because the only alternative was arcades. But with the GBA, you had 3 major 3D consoles, so the only reason to make the GBA port 3D is to make people bleed from the eyes.
