I was just thinking the same thing. It's been done before. I lose track of just how many 3rd party consoles have been created to play Mega Drive, NES and Snes games... Why not a vextrex replica at the very least? Granted vector CRT displays are hard to come by now, but if worst comes to worst, I doubt the processing power needed to emulate a vector display using an LCD is costly. (Any PC since about 1990 has enough processing power.) - You could even emulate the overlays if you had to...

I used to watch your stuff all the time, Mark. Unfortunately, I had to take a break from the hardcore retro gaming thing for a while, and I have since started to get back in to it (starting with the vectrex). I must say, I love all your reviews and pretty much everything you post. I forgot how entertaining and funny these videos are. It's good to be back. :)

Mark, you know that this cornflakes cartboard thing around the edges of the box is removable? I own "vector pilot" by Mr. Tuts from Belgium and I freaking love it. The production values are insane. 3 overlays? HELL YES!

Finally!! A Vectrex homebrew review!! This calls for some Vector Pilot, Protector/YASI, Moon Lander, Gravitrex, Space Frenzy, War of the Worlds, Sundance.... There are way too many titles that rival the classic Vectrex releases.

They should re-release Vectrex together with a cartridge containing the best games (or maybe all the games if possible).It should be a relative hit, since the Vectrex a still a unique console.

Call of Doody, MW3, BF3 are going to die out...when the next Call of Doody game comes out....and once the next Xbox comes out, they'll end up shutting down the servers for the current games....however, all these older games, you can play it in single-player mode and it'd be just as fun w/o depending on a server....I can still play Super Mario Bros. exactly as it was when it came out, some games 20 years after SMB that rely on internet are now dead....

ebay, some notable ones are Last Hope, Dux, and Fast Strikers. i would also note that they can get rather pricey because of there limited production and sot after by collectors

The hit detection works. At least on my Consoles. Maybe it differs from machine to machine depending on their aging or it´s just the recording here.

You know what'd blow my mind? Vectraga! A Galaga derivative for the Vectrex. Galaga's my favorite early shooter arcade game, and still in my top 3 favorite arcade games of all time. Galaxian is great, but Galaga's even better!
