As a kid I used to enjoy flying on the 737 (it wasn't a Classic then). I would try to get a seat just behind the wing's trailing edge so I can watch thedouble slotted flaps, spoilers and reversers do their work. I still enjoy watching the wing surfaces when flying but it's not the same. A lot of the mechanics are hidden under covers, the flaps are single slotted and the reversers aren't visibile from the back.

You have to love the old warhorses the 737 classics, they were as bullet proof as any aircraft made. I’ve flown on a few combos which was cool, 2/3rds cargo 1/3 PAs, they even sound like a real engines should, LOUD

You have a beautiful legacy aircraft. I was looking for a video of a 737 with bucket reversers versus internal and cold stream type reversers... Just lovely. And as for safety, i would fly anywhere on iti n a heartbeat so long as I had a round-trip ticket... Statistics, yo. 747 might be Queen of the Skies, but the 737 is the workhorse.
