Love this movie. One moment I love is when Sterling Holloway sings. It is so beautiful, sweet and touching. Never thought of him as a singer before this.

I love this movie. I first saw it 30-40 years ago and didn’t know anything about it. What a revelation.

This is such a sentimental film, depicting a small-town existence that I'm not sure I believe ever existed. At best it's a very one-sided depiction, so that we believe that the woman in the case could be saved from doing any more bad things. A story for children, really.
