I think this band predates Tuba Skinny, which is a relative newcomer. Both are great bands, and very different.

I'm 93 yrs old. I was able in my youth to visit New Orleans and hear Jazz the way it started, played by the surviving people of color who made it up as they went along. It was amazing and addictive. In later years I could find no jazz left in the Quarter. I love that KZbin carries some of the groups (mostly white) who try to keep that wonderful music alive.

I'm sure there's still a lot of good jazz in New Orleans. Sure, some will be bad or distorted, but not all of it. Many of my friends (informed musicians) have been and enjoyed it. I hope to go there one day.

YOU didn’t look hard enough. Traditional New Orleans music is alive and well,,,,,,,,,, groups like TUBA SKINNY and SECRET SIX are very much bringing joy to those of us who are addicted to this music.

Работают в очень точном повторении 30х годов. Изящно и виртуозно.Но все равно что то не так.Не та "атмосфера". Звучание очень крикливо и резкое.Можно подумать,что запитсь была не в том акустическом помещении !?
