Classic Jetliners: Samaritan's Purse DC-8-72CF | 4K

During 18 and 19 December 2023 Samaritan's Purse flew to Tel Aviv with both DC-8-72CF and Boeing 757-225(PCF) aircraft.
The DC-8-72CF, N782SP, with callsign NSP-8 flew the route Greensboro-Prestwick-Larnaca-Tel Aviv.
The Boeing 757-225(PCF), N783SP, with callsign NSP-7 flew the route Greensboro-Gander-Prestwick-Larnaca-Tel Aviv.
The two airplanes flew from Prestwick to Tel Avivi - with a nightstop in Larnaca - intrail.

Stunning plane Love the livery, not to mention she is one of the few 8's still flying. She was built to fly, long may she fulfill that role.

With the recent retirement of NASA's similar DC-8, she may be the very last in service. Still quite busy. Looks very well maintained and clean, with an upgraded cockpit (which I don't think NASA's one had).

@StefanMochnacki There were rumors they had bought a 2nd one, but yet to see it out. I think there are about 5 still airworthy but some are suspect. She was built to fly and 7 decades later she still is

Why is reverse thrust selected while the aircraft is shut down? Is this to prevent engine windmilling ?

Correct, the stand orientation was tail to the wind.
