Wow,awesome group dynamics. I was searching for funky Stevie clavinet playing tracks, and here we are the gold at the end of the rainbow. I play harp and this is perfect to learn and practice to.The choice of music, is superb, for such young lads, with mega talent.The best part is, the notes accompanying the grooves, it helps with the key of the song for me. Kudos!

I don't own one of these but I'd bet "FM Lead 1 OP" refers using the first operator in a genuine 30 yr old DX7. There were 6 "operators" in a DX7. Combining them in different algorithmic patterns gave the DX7 its bell-like tone.

Yes, you are right. Some sound and note selection doesn't work for me either. I played once like that. Everyone gets nicer feeling and groove if you play a lot. This is a good demo of the keyboard.

Hi Thomas, thanks for your kind comments. We will be uploading part 2 soon so keep an eye out! Your question is a good one... I did try this first but find that even with the flange rate/tempo and amount completely down the piano sound is still affected slightly just by having the effect turned on. For this reason I decided to use two slots to ensure my piano sound for the rest of the track wasn't in any way compromised.

Excellent demo! I have been the proud owner of a Stage 2 for about a year and this video gave me some great new ideas. Thank you for showing exactly what sounds and effects you used in every song. Very easy to understand. My only question is at 4:15 couldn't you have just used the morph to assign the amount of the flange effect without having to use both of the slots? Anyway I'm really glad I came across this video, I enjoyed your playing!
