The red crescent moon indicates the date. This movement is rated to plus/minus 15 seconds a month. I disagree about having knurling on the pushers, this is not a sports watch. And regardless of your dislike for leather straps, it would still be nice to have some comment as to the quality of the strap provided. Thanks.

I've had the black dial version of this watch for about six months now. I love this watch. I'm a white collar work guy and this watch has gotten a lot of attention from my patients. I am doing to whole heartedly disagree with you about putting a nato strap of this watch. It's a dress watch. Not a utility watch. It's aesthetics are just too formal and too beautiful for a nato. I have plenty of watches that scream nato strap ( like my Seiko Arnie) but this one is not one of them. It's a dress watch. But hey... that's just my opinion. Other than that, great review. I had a similar watch a good 5 years back! I sold it for half the price but now the price of this model has gone up! I actually liked the black calf leather strap and it aged and broke in quite well. It was quite a comfy strap.

I've had one of these for about a year.I love the idea of their perpetual calendar and I never messed with the alarm. It's not necessary for me. What I find very frustrating with this watch is the fact that it has no markers for the minutes! I find that very annoying especially when I want to set it. I may sell it just for that reason and I'm not a flipper.

Great review! I've had this watch for about a year now, and just love it!!! I think it's well worth the price for what it brings to the table. I love watches with lume, but being a true watch addict......I had to add this one to my collection and it makes a really nice dress watch. Thanks for doing a review of this one!

Dress watches do not have lume as one of their characteristics. Coming from dive watches, it is understandably the first thing you’d notice. I’ve got the same watch in silver dial with a slightly different specification. It has a sapphire crystal and water resistance is 5 bar. It is a bit less thick and the crown has a kind of black stone attached to it that looks quite nice.

Nice watch 👌 Been looking at them for a while. But, the crown and pushers are a show stopper. Crown and pushers need to be screw down. Can't stand pushers that aren't screw down. Pushers are never made with sufficient resistance to prevent accidental activation.

If your are into fiddling around with your watch I guess this would would be one to consider. But for me this is way way to much interaction to get basic information that I would want and expect from just a glance at my watch.

You do know it has a duel time right. Just pull out the crown two times and use the B pusher to set your second time zone.

I don't think thats true. The SPC131P1 is not duel time. Pulling out the crown two times just helps positioning the hands.

@@v1d300 pull out the crown all the way out then use the bottom pusher to set the second time zone at the 6 oclock subdial, best way to do this when the seconds hand hits the 12oclock and pull to hack it. Then set both time about two min ahead so you can be ready to push the crown in, i live in Houston and i have second time for LA. 😉

there is a new one with classic diameter, 40,5mm spc153p1. same perpetual engine and almost identical dial but suits better if u dont have jumbo hand

It's cool and I had my eye on it a year ago but how practical is it?. I bought a Graf Zeppelin 7680 with the fantastic art deco dial thinking it's a nice party watch but in reality it's very dressy. I had to throw a snake skin strap on it but it's not a versatile piece, it looks fabulous!, sitting in my watch case. The problem is as good as the watch looks it'll never suit my style, watch experience lesson learned.

I was about to comment that 6:12 is 3rd March and not 28th. The crescent moon end is what tells the date, month and year.
