Swordfriend Robert here. First of all, awesome review, Kyle! It was super cool to see my sword get the KZbin review treatment. Second of all, I just did my first water bottle cuts with this sword, and I want to confirm Kyle's cutting experience. This sword's performance is very sensitive to edge alignment- most of the cuts were successful, in that the water bottle ended up in two pieces. Usually both pieces flew off the stand in a spray of water. A couple of times I just batted the bottle across the yard. But a couple of times the cut was smooth, silent, and gorgeous. The sword needs to be sharpened a bit, but I intend to keep practicing my cuts with it and I have no doubt that it will help my overall cutting performance. Again, I love the revies, Kyle! Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Glad you're loving the sword, and thanks again for letting me review it. There's nothing quite like getting that perfect silent cut on a water bottle.

I had a thought about the thrusting cuts, have you tried using something to maybe hold the target in place? I feel like with thrusts, that extra support might make a big difference for accuracy/testing. You are fighting gravity and physics more in this testing scenario. For slicing the bottles work great but with the thrusting/piercing the target should not move back so much. If you were fighting say, a bear with the sword it would stand its ground after being pierced. Im just really curious to see what happens when you pierce a target then try and slice thru it

Great review, Kyle! Your cuts looked really good in this one, and you did get a few killing thrusts in. Even if they didn't go where you wanted them to, your opponent would have been skewered alive.

I’m currently trying to decide between the Albion Lancaster and the Valiant Bristol

Great review! I think you did a good job explaining that while you believe this is a great sword, it's not necessarily your cup of tea. Nicely done sir.

not my particular style of sword but nice anyways! i don't really like this super pointy blades...except the Alexandria type swords...for one handed swords i really like the Albion Burgundian!
