Great video. Not an easy job to film at some parts but you did a great job.

Useful Tip An old thermostat housing (3 holes) makes an ideal spanner for tightening up the sender locking ring. Great video

Welcome to the channel my friend. My mate Paul from classic mini garage referred me onto your channel late last year, been meaning to catch-up on your content. There’s plenty of action happening on my channel and more to come. Thanks for subscribing 🙂

@@Tomostuneups I was searching for fuel tank removal. I knew it was easy but KZbin is such a wealth of information it's hard not to watch a couple videos before opening the boot. I've only had my Mini for a couple of weeks and I've learned a tremendous amount in a short time. I discovered rust on the inner wheel arch and will need to remove the gasooliinne tank to do a proper repair. 👍

@@franktaylor7617 haha nice mate! They’re full of rust, so definitely check the A panels, both sills, floors, boot etc they’re all common places to rust from depending where you live and the humidity etc Appreciate you leaving the feedback. It is quite an easy job, just take note that when installing a long range tank like I did here, another strap is required to prevent the tank moving sideways. I’m trying to become a bit more “niche” in regards to the classic mini work or my channel

Hi mate, just over here in Brisbane, I’d like to say that was a great video! No muckin around. I love it. Im in need of one of theses tanks too, lol. May I ask where you can buy them from? I’m looking for one for my 76 clubman. Cheers and have driving! Dino.

Hey bro, thanks for the feedback! I’m working on bringing my content down to shorter videos and more straight to the point, although I like to talk, it’s quite hard haha. So I bought mine second hand, I won’t mention the supplier as I now no longer deal with them anymore due to a falling out. To buy it second hand you’d be looking around the $500 mark, depending where you get it from, but certainly worth the investment even buying new! Should organize a road trip up there and meet a few of my followers 😎

Quick, Simple, clean and good detailed info..... Like your style. so how much "gasoline" will the long range tank hold? You mentioned extra mileage/km, but I'm curious as to the actual size... good stuff Tomo...
@Tomostuneups2 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks my friend! So the long range fuel tank holds 7.5 gallons (35 liters) compared to the standard fuel tank of 5.5 gallons (20 liters). I haven’t done a full to empty run as yet, but from what I’ve roughly calculated, I can do approx 400km, maybe as far as 450km on a tank of fuel with the engine setup I have. So in comparison, I’m getting well over 150km more range compared to the standard tank

How far can it go before refueling again!?
@Tomostuneups2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, so it’s almost double what a standard tank distance would be. Depending on mods to the car, I’ve gotten around 400kms to a tank of fuel, but that wasn’t super low, I had just under 1/4 of a tank left. So depending on driving style, mods, distance etc you might be able to push 450km or possibly more. Are you thinking of upgrading?
