Thank you Dave. I can see the wheels turning in your head as you listen, watch and analyze what is happening in and around that engine. Repairing what’s wrong with it, in your head, before laying a spinner on it. Brilliant. 🌞🏍

Love your patient, painstaking and meticulous work....so therapeutic. I own a 72 Bonnie in far off Mumbai, after a couple of years of felting am reaching the sweet spot, which entails alternate keyways for cam wheel timing. This Machine came with 3124 cams inlet and exhaust....so getting the timing and overlap to come as close to the holy grail of the 3124/3325 combination of the 59 Bonnie, should sort things out

Love to watch the workshop videos , Thanks. My friend had a T90 and I had a BSA B40 It's amazing looking back how we kept them going with limited knowledge tools and spares.

Dave, you ever use a fan in the front of the bike to steer the exhaust out of the garage and perhaps cool the engine a bit? Yeah, me neither. "Breathe deep the gathering gloom."

Great tips Dave, thank you. One question: what do you think of Dowty washers to replace the copper washers on the banjo lines? Your input would be appreciated as I would apply it to my Royal Enfield Bullet 500. Thank you.

Copper slip on the head bolt threads? Have you addressed how to measure the squish band clearances on those type heads?

Hi Dave, would like to ask you, what tyres front and rear, would you recommend for a Triumph T00 ss Tiger 1965 as good all rounder? Wet and dry roads but no ice or snow. I’m in Australia. I would value your advice. Regards Andy

Dave, great video as always and I like the tips for re-assembling the T100 cylinder head. Is there a reason why the T90 seemed to be burning oil? Many thanks
@stephenwilliams9262 жыл бұрын
I have read in the past don't grease the threads on head bolts. The reason being it gives a false reading when you torque the head down. I would grease them myself but others say no.

Great work, mate as usual. Two nice bikes. On the T100, does it say Tiger 110 on the bikini skirt? Gotta say though, I'm not a big fan of Siamese pipes. The look to upset the 'balance' of the bikes. Just my opinion. Big fan of T90s, a much underrated bike.

Yes it does but that's wrong, the owner put the 110 badge on cause it's all he could get his hands on

I appreciate the way Dave talks through everything as he's doing. I actually wanted even more detail, like when he was adjusting the carb toward the end, what was going on there. Was it running lean to begin with, did he have to crank the idle adjustment up? That sort of thing. (Maybe because I'm dealing with a carb issue right now. The carb on my TR6 is all of the sudden getting finicky on me. I'll clean it and it'll be fine but two days later I'm re adjusting air screw and idle screw.) Can't figure out what's wrong. The bowl does seem to have a slight warp to it, so maybe it's sucking in some air. (EDIT: I've since put a brand new Amal Concentric premiere on my bike. It's been running and idling great )
@pauliebots2 жыл бұрын
I had the same thoughts, I think Dave missed a real opportunity there. Extremely important thoughts not conveyed at the carb adjustment. Just goes to show you how intense the job can get.
