Sara Pascoe in this episode was a great example of a proper QI cameo, she was funny, informative and inquisitive.

David Mitchell is also in QI's episode on Europe, which I don't see in your playlist yet. The entire panel is good in that one. Definitely worth reacting to.

First Episode of Series T has just been Broadcast in the UK, it's a good one

As far as I know, there”s exactly one bird called Kes, the kestrel in Ken Loach’s bleakly beautiful and very British film of the same name. Presumably Sarah’s buzzer was a soundtrack snippet. The original Klaxon is the very familiar old car horn which people standardly imitate as a metallic ‘A-ROOO-gah’ sound.

the company said it was an electric horn, I though that sound you gave was a manual pull / spring return mechanical device

The T series starts tonight in the uk, not the XL version though. Check out QI’s social media for a video they posted yesterday for a clip of Bill Bailey being awarded a very special award before they filmed it.

Will they still broadcast a XL version or will the 30 min version be the only one?

On my days off I get woken up by bloody kookaburras, I live near the Scotchman Creek bike trail in Melbourne. A shit tonne of different birds treat my back yard like a playground. A mother duck and 8 ducklings were in my pool 2 days ago 🙄

I'm sure there are going to be loads of comments telling you that David Mitchell presents a comedy panel show on Radio 4 called The Unbelievable Truth. The premise for the show is that each person reads a short essay on a subject which is entirely made up except for 5 truths. The other panelists have to buzz in to try and spot a truth. There are episodes of this uploaded to youtube if you wanted to listen to it.

The Unbelievable Truth is brilliant. Sort of a cross between QI and Would I Lie To You. There's a KZbin channel called honestjohn which has a ton of them uploaded if you ever fancy checking it out. Lots of Taskmaster alumni appear on it!

interesting to know that Nathan Bedford Forrest to this day is a celebrated civil war hero in the US south. With statues and everything. Not only was he the first leader of the mass murdering KKK he also commited a massacre on 500 black Union POW in the civil war. He was proud of both things. He also was a very good cavalry general in the civil war. Take your pick.

The “ bell end” reference, for those watching outside of the UK, means a “d*ickhead”
@CatsAreRubbish2 жыл бұрын
For Neil: "bell end" is UK slang for the glans of the penis.
@Cobalt-Jester2 жыл бұрын
Fun fact. Here in the UK when we call a person a 'Dick Head' we mean that person has a dick on their head. But over in the America's you think it means the head of a dick. We call that a 'Bell end' and is also used as a funny insult. lol

Hello from Kokkola... which has nothing to do with bonfires, there is a third meaning for the word kokko; in ancient Finnish it was the name for the eagle. So the whole "koko kokkoko" thing could be made to be even more confusing..

Some guests take it seriously and actually try to win. Others play it for the laughs which makes them more likely to be invited back and get another pay cheque.

Hey Neil, I'm avoiding your Taskmaster reaction because I've not seen the episode yet, so this episode of QI is a nice distraction. In QI related news, series T kicks of its broadcast in the UK tonight (Friday) where Bill Bailey drew level with Phill Jupitus' record number of appearances: 46. There's a lovely video doing the rounds elsewhere on the interweb where Bill is presented with half the certificate for arecord number of appearances.

Ok, I have to ask about the clap now. I thought you might be using it to match sound and video? It blows my ears out nearly every time, because it's the loudest part of any of your videos. I usually watch your videos with one hand on the volume control so I can turn up what your'e watching, and turn down when you yourself are speaking. A lot of Reaction channels are the same and I have to keep a hand on the volume control buttons. So if I'm going to be doing something else with my hands while on KZbin, I go to a documentary or true crime channel, where the sound level stays more or less constant.
@qwertyTRiG2 жыл бұрын
Tom Scott has a lovely video explaining why KZbinrs include a clap in their videos. Is it to sync sound and picture? No, not really.

I just keep thinking how rude David was to Sarah on an episode of WILTY. She accidentally booked a trip to South America instead of Spain. And he really tore into her for an innocent mistake.
@travelwell6049 Жыл бұрын
So, the way scores seem to work 🤔, you all start off with 30 points and then lose points arbitrarily every time you speak.
