Great Video. Finally someone understands and gets the importance of the film version of THE WIZ. Its the BEST version over all others without a doubt. So many unique and valuable messages within that other versions just don't seem to master quite as well. Diana Ross was also brilliant as Dorothy. and the rest of this amazing cast was magnificent. The film version is by far THE BEST of OZ! :)

If you read the book you’ll realize the Muppet version IS more accurate. You’ve got the field mice, the green 👓,the witch’s 🧢. I especially think The Muppet version has the best depiction of Oz by making it more realistic. I also prefer the 2015 version of THE WIZ

Watched over the years since a kid when it was in theaters around 80, then on tape, though never thoroughly followed the philosophies behind their journey. It was more like animated heroes vs villains to me. It’s very profound and motivational. I hadn’t watched this version word for word in several years now. I gotta get the dvd and rewatch it.

I loved "The Wiz" as much as I loved the original "Wizard of Oz." I strongly disagree with snobby critics who criticized this movie. It is a very captivating and emotionally uplifting movie very well-acted by Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Ted Ross and Nipsey Russell. And Lena Horne -- WOW! How's that for a cast of characters?! I've watched this movie several times since I was a child. I dare you to watch this quirky movie and take your eyes off of it!

Insightful and poignant. I saw this movie when I was in Head Start and believe it or not there are people in their 40's and 50's who never heard of this film.
