Classic really snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in that first game against Maru. So many mistakes and strategic errors that feel weird to watch in a pro game. Having his stalkers get stuck on Marines while trying to hit the cyclone, REFUSING to leave a phoenix behind to patrol his bases and maybe catch a banshee early, leaving that starport alive for so long (no idea how much dmg he suffered from it), running his phoenix into a crowd of marines well ahead of the rest of his army…that was hard to watch.

He was pretty sloppy against Bunny too. The amount of widow mines he let live scattered around the map in game 3 was painful. The casters were praising his observer micro but he never kept one with the army for some reason.

Aren’t they all squares, though? I can’t tell. Every SC2 map looks the same. Same narrow chokes, same gold locations, same ramps. Again, would it KILL the competitive/pro SC2 map-making scene to spice things up? Add SOME variety?

He didn’t have a forge so cannons were not available

Cannons are easy to be destroyed and battery can heal the units, which means tanking ability is fulfilled

There is no spot you can place a single cannon that will protect your probes from a banshee. I think you need 3 to totally cover them. At that point he will just kill one of the cannons and continue to kill probes, making cannons quite bad in this situation

Did the casters not notice that 3 stalkers were just move commanded? On the off chance they were attacked on to the cyclone AND were out of range it still would have been better to just attack marines I think.

Bigger kitchen?... Lol, I love the aoe games but the pro scene of every version of sc has been a 3 star Michelin compared to any aoe game's dinghy back alley food stall

SC is a 3 Michelin star joint? Yeah, if you’re willing to put up with the same dish over and over. At least with AoE you get some spice with your food!

@@DiehardMechWarrior don't tell me what I have and haven't seen lil bro. The truth is that it's a "smaller kitchen" over on the aoe side no matter which way you spin it. The only thing that is better is some pseudo variety but the game turns out mostly the same anyway. Maybe you're just insanely hung up on aoe being better for some reason. It's a great game but one glance at both pro scenes and it's night and day

Protoss is free MMR up to 4200, zerg is free MMR over 4200, terran is free MMR whenever forever baby!

@@TheDisturbed0ne1 There's way more Protoss represented in GM than any other race in the world. In the EU, Protoss represents 41%.

@@dannyy8619 yup, the Protists doesn't fall off at GM MMR but at pro level is when it doesn't feel that strong, any other skill bracket and Toss is more than fine. So it's not 4200 MMR but more like around 6k
