I was 8 in 1990, as a kid in cornwall/devon, if the sun was out you could hear 6pots barking into the night, the sound of case inter red n black xl’s n ford 7810/40’s takes me back everytime.

Loved it, Had the same chopper as you. 1973 JD 2130 with Twose buck rake on the pit, Zetor Crystal 8011 on trailers, Roadless 120 on the chopper. Thanks for the memories. Cheers Jim in NZ.

Classic David Browns , I first carted silage with a Implematic 990 , then a 996 , 1394 before moving to Valtra , used 1290 on 8 ton trailer for a short time this year (It pulled well but was very slow to tip the trailers , 22L/min hydraulic pump unlike the 6400's 73 l/min) , the 3 & 4 cylinder engined DB s are much better than some of the modern stuff

The 3 cylinders were siad to be better cus they had a 5 bearing crankshaft, definitely don't go bigger in a david brown than a 995/6 or 1390

Brings back memories from the 70's drawing silage with a 1212 when I should have been in school lol. Brother buckraking on a 35x. Actually know where both tractors still are and both still in working order being used nearly every day. 40 years from now there won't be many of today's tractors left.

@@fjagrivideos5301 I've read folks record the sound separately at field level and sync in afterwards. Don't ask me how but very effective, probably a good bit of extra work though. I think I read it on Tom Pemberton channel or somewhere. Great video, love to see the 1212 putting in a shift.
