ok sorry for the late reply lmao (3 months late) i usually use both but 90% of the time its r1 for dispel protection if i have PS on my target i will max rank as it wont get dispelled. also its more expensive to dispel a rank 1 renew for the enemy so they lose ALOT of mana if they dont pay attention!

Loved this video! It was very informative. Question for you, in the downranking section, I don't see Heal or Lesser heal. Are you using these at all in Arena? Or are heals pretty much only Flash Heal, Greater Heal, PoM, and Renew? Thank you!

I don't mean these caps rudely just emphasizing my point NEVER USE HEAL OR LESSER HEAL EVER IN TBC PVE PVP haha reason for that is due to the fact it is dogshit healing/mana efficient for those 2 spells is horrible, ALSO alot of the time your going to be managing your mana and watching your positioning to make sure you and your partner dont take unnecessary damage, sense youre positioning is good and no unnecessary damage is being taken your not using mana its a butterfly effect and also YES renew pom will usually keep your partner to full, your always welcome to ask questions i love it!

I understand when it comes to horde races Belf is far from ideal but if you assume I'm an average non casual player and my arena goals are to get just a high enough rating to get the arena gear could that be reasonably accomplished if I go Belf? Or should I just scrap that idea and pick undead or troll?

hey man much love posting a video as we speak about holy priest in karazahn going to be sick, but to answer your question IN my opinion i think if you are skilled enough racials dont matter you could get 2k. yes other classes that are meta like dwarf priest or undead/troll priest will have a easier time i think 100% whatever you chose is doable if your skilled enough!

The Hex spell should not be a problem with a rogue partner, in fact, in this case the rogue could use Mindnumb(slowing casts) poison along with the snare one. So, it is actually a great combo.

So I’m new to disc of course, but you said one thing I’m unsure of. You said only use rank 1 or 2 of fear. Imo I’d use at least 3 or 4. If you’re facing lock/priest and you see a felhunter and a shadowfiend on you and you’re all raw dogging the pillar, you’d probably want to fear all 4. Right?

Comprehensive and straightforward explanation. Thx. I don't understand only why you consider Renew being useless. It scales 1:1 with BH, it's the cheapest healing so why not keep it on your partner or yourself? If there is a high chance it will be dispelled then that's a different story obviously. I would add also one more comment on fear. Usually, you want to use rank 1 in 2v2 brackets which limits the fear effect to two players only, instead of 5 but reduces the mana cost a lot. In the arena every small amount of mana is important.

Loved the video, just what I was looking for! Looking forward to more priest content! 2 questions, 1. Why take Imp Renew instead of 3 points Holy Specialization? Feels like the 3% holy crit would give constant offensive and defensive value to most spells while imp renew only works on renew, and not scaling with +healing either? Especially if renew is mostly used for dispel protection. 2. Does PI increase just the cast time and decrease mana cost or does it work like haste? Does your GCD become 20% faster as well for 20% faster dispelling?

awesome man great to hear im glad you enjoyed it ALOT TO COME and theres nobody else doing videos like this so ganna be awesome, for your first question you 100% can personally i like running it because it increases renew by 15% 3/3 and (yes renew does scale with +healing from what ive seen on the beta) secondly 3/5 holy spec gives you 3% crit which isnt bad at all! BUT for the offchance that were resetting and i do have max rank renew itll heal more than id get out of a crit pluss wouldnt have to use mana. ALSO r1 is basically dispel protection but r1 with 15% 3/3 will atleast give a little health compared to just flat r1. 2nd question YES! Infuses the target with power, increasing spell casting speed by 20% and reducing the mana cost of all spells by 20%. that is why as soon as the fight starts in arena u pop it immidiately either for quick heals/fast clean the only real reason u even use pi is for the mana decrease for dispels or if your going for fast burst!

shadowfiend does noticable damage, its perfectly fine to use during a go. Also not using manaburn is certainly a mistake and just comparing damage versus mana on a spell that is supposed to drain mana is disingenious

“I really don’t use mana burn” bro... what. It’s literally one of the most important priest skills in the toolkit. Not even necessarily casting it, but just using the spell can pressure people out of their good positioning and cause them to use globals or move out of the way to defend it. The threat of mana burn alone is a very strong mechanic to use.

Max rank renew should be used often especially vs double dps and druids, the healer most players will face in all brackets. Even vs priests when you aren't exactly driving the match tempo, you can find good use out of it as fairly safe sustain.
