Watched this during the recent run on Talking Pictures TV in UK (they show these reruns in the 5/6am slot). Excellent show. Thank god we've got a channel like TPTV showing these shows now. Thanks for uploading. PS To your list of stars, add Brian Donlevy and Gary Lockwood from this episode (not to mention Dabbs Greer was a TV staple guest star of the 60s especially in QM Productions)

That theme from Elmer actually was reworked slightly for the short-lived Serpico in 1976.

Has I hadn't been born during it's original UK airings, I only saw this when it turned up on Talking Pictures TV. (shouldn't the credit have read "theme by Elmer Bernstein" if Rudy Schrager's getting "scored by" credit?)

Saints and Sinners unfortunately had to face against The Rifleman (which was in its last season at the time) and the new western Stoney Burke on ABC, alongside the legendary Lucille Ball in her new show The Lucy Show and The Danny Thomas Show on CBS.
