I'm building my p8 right now. Looks like the bottom bracket is british 68 122, the quill is a 21.1, and the brakes are a long reach i think 55 to 73mm will work, beautiful bikes, but parts are very specific to this bike, the seat post is a 24mm. I hope this info helps someone in the future. If changing to a sealed bottom bracket get one with a short cup on the non drive side. If changing to 700 wheels, don't forget to buy a spacer if using a cassette on the back wheel. Mine is now 2x7.

Squirt some rust killer in all your tubes. Condensation comes after them.......

Hey, I've got one of those, since......1984 or maybe 85? Mine is a light metallic blue color but it still has the yellow/orange graphics. Questionable color combination, but I like it. Mine came with side pull brakes and Simplex shifters. The rear tire cracked and got replaced, but it still has the original Michelin front tire in 2024 on those 27 x1 1/4" rims from Rigida. My bike didn't travel very far, it came from City Cycle in Stoneham, MA (still in business) and still lives in Massachusetts.
